Editorial policy
Every guide, comparison and tool on evidencedesk.io is researched from primary sources, reviewed by Mitchell Johnson before publication and updated when facts change. Our content is general information, not legal advice.
Who writes and reviews our content
Content on evidencedesk.io is written and reviewed by Mitchell Johnson, who works in legal and professional services at EvidenceDesk. Each article shows its author or reviewer, the date it was published and the date it was last updated.
How we research
- We rely on primary sources where they exist: court rules, state bar guidance, ABA model rules and official product documentation and pricing pages.
- We describe general practices and avoid jurisdiction-specific instructions unless the source supports them.
- We do not publish invented statistics, ratings, reviews or customer claims.
How we review and update
- Every page is reviewed for accuracy, clarity and professional standards before it is published.
- We revisit pages when rules, prices or product features change, and update the "Updated" date when we make a substantive change.
- Free tools are checked against worked examples before release.
How we compare legal software
Our comparison pages look at the same criteria for every product: core case management, document and evidence handling, billing and trust accounting, client tools, calendaring, integrations and published pricing. Competitor information is based on each vendor's public website and documentation at the time of review and may change. EvidenceDesk is our own product, so we state that clearly on every comparison and we aim to describe other products fairly. Product names are trademarks of their respective owners.
Corrections
If you spot an error, email hello@evidencedesk.io or Mitchell@evidencedesk.io with the page URL and the correction. We review every report and fix confirmed errors promptly.
